Toronto singer and rapper NAV and Atlanta hip-hop legend Young Thug have built a history of musical partnerships over the years, though their last creative union dates back to 2020 on NAV’s Emergency Tsunami project. Today, the duo marks their return with “Trimski,” featuring production by Ty GotEm, Elementry, and Rel. The track is an upbeat rap offering that blends urban slang characteristic of both artists' home regions.

According to an official statement, the term “trimski”—a fusion of the Atlanta slang “trim” and the quintessential Toronto suffix “-ski”—is defined as: “displaying an exceptionally polished appearance, showing an extreme level of style, and widely recognized by others as being ‘overly trim.’” In the song’s opening chorus, NAV certainly exudes this sense of style, bolstered by his surrounding entourage.
