Thundercat’s New Song “She Knows Too Much” Is A Posthumous Mac Miller Collab

Renowned vocalist, composer, bassist, and all-around funk maestro Thundercat shared a deep friendship with the late rapper Mac Miller. Prior to Miller’s sudden passing in 2018, the two collaborated on standout tracks such as Mac’s “In the Morning” (2013) and Thundercat’s own “Hi” (2017). Currently, Thundercat has returned with the vibrant and groovy single “She Knows Too Much,” the latest preview from his upcoming project Distracted, which features newly unveiled verses from Miller.
“I feel so fortunate to have shared my time on this earth alongside Mac,” Thundercat remarked in a press statement. “What an incredible artist, what a beautiful soul, and what a privilege to have known him.”
Crafted by Thundercat, Miller, and Taylor Graves, and helmed by acclaimed producer Greg Kurstin, “She Knows Too Much” depicts Mac pursuing a woman who seems to be beyond his reach.
She (Ooh, we), way outta my league, can’t buy her love
(Baby, can’t buy her love, ooh, we)
All the books she read, she know way too much
(She knows way too much)
Girl, don’t know me, don’t know enough
(Baby) (She don’t know me)
